Legal & Compliance Manager - Remote

Overview

We're looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager to build and lead the legal function at Swarmia. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our approach to contracts, compliance, and risk as we scale. This is a generalist role with the opportunity to grow into broader ownership (e.g. General Counsel) as the company evolves. You’ll work closely with sales, finance, operations, and product teams — and collaborate with external counsel where needed.

In Short

• Maintain and update standard customer contract templates (e.g. MSAs, Order Forms, DPAs, NDAs).
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Define and manage contract review workflows and SLAs.
• Lead legal support for customer due diligence processes.
• Manage and streamline vendor onboarding and compliance workflows.
• Develop and maintain internal policies related to data protection and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the company’s insurance portfolio.
• Build scalable legal processes and workflows.
• Provide legal guidance for internal initiatives.
• Support board and investor communications.

Requirements

• 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Experience in supporting SaaS or technology companies.
• Strong understanding of B2B commercial contracts and SaaS-related legal frameworks.
• Familiarity with Finnish law, EU regulations, and US legal practices.
• Ability to design and scale legal processes.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach.
• Clear communicator with a collaborative approach.
