Overview

As Director, Legal - Securities and Governance, you’ll lead all aspects of Stitch Fix’s public company securities reporting and corporate governance obligations, working collaboratively with a small legal team.

In Short

  • Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings and corporate governance obligations.
  • Advise on earnings announcements and investor communications.
  • Serve as Assistant Corporate Secretary, managing corporate secretarial functions.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and corporate governance policies.
  • Lead capital markets and strategic transactions.
  • Manage outside corporate counsel and litigation matters.
  • Develop employee training on securities law.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Information Security teams on risk management.
  • Occasionally assist with commercial contract matters.
  • Join a company at the forefront of retail and technology.

Requirements

  • J.D. with at least eight years of relevant experience in securities law.
  • Experience in-house at a public company and with SEC filings.
  • Expertise in corporate governance and compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with public company accounting and finance processes.
  • Experience with equity compensation and stock plan management.
  • Located within commutable distance of San Francisco or willing to travel.
  • Active membership in a US state bar association.
