Overview

The Key Account Manager drives the success of Silgan Dispensing Systems’ business by managing and growing an existing and prospective customer base, reporting to the Director of Sales and partnering with the broader business to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Manage strategic accounts through a global account team.
  • Connect multiple functions within customer organizations to drive partnerships and business growth.
  • Hunt and convert prospective customers by developing leads.
  • Understand customer business strategies to identify new product opportunities.
  • Engage with various departments in customer organizations to understand their needs.
  • Leverage competitive advantages of SDS over competitors.
  • Act as the voice of the customer in innovation and project execution.
  • Develop winning value propositions using insights selling.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions to drive growth.
  • Manage account planning and Salesforce.com CRM systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 5+ years of direct sales/key account management experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply new marketing and sales techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a decentralized organization with frequent travels.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Salesforce.
