Technical Program Manager - Remote

Overview

Sift’s Technical Program Management team is looking for someone to join our mission to Help Everyone Trust the Internet. We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a deep desire to take ownership and make an impact. The TPM will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex software projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of market leading technology.

In Short

• Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and deliver projects that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Implement and refine agile methodologies and processes to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
• Manage the lifecycle of complex initiatives, making trade-offs between short-term needs vs long-term needs.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication between technical and non-technical teams.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies.
• Actively seek ways to improve process and operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2+ years of direct experience as a Technical Program Manager working with Engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience, including project schedule and planning.
• Experience managing complex projects effectively within and across teams.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience working with teams or managing products that leverage machine learning or artificial intelligence.
