Database Escalation Engineer - Federal - Remote

Overview

The Database Escalation Engineer - Federal will support US Federal and Public Sector customers, ensuring the production reliability and scalability of customer applications and infrastructure services.

In Short

• Support production databases and troubleshoot issues.
• Work as part of the SWAT team to restore database/application services.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert in production triage.
• Develop automation tools using Ansible and scripting.
• Learn to identify bugs and solve DB performance issues.
• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Support applications on SaaS and PaaS Cloud Infrastructure.
• Work with large-scale web-based distributed applications.
• Be on-call weekly for 24x7 support.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Postgres/MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experience with performance and stress testing tools.
• Knowledge of Linux and database profiling tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in integrating AI into work processes.
• Familiarity with concurrency and distributed system architectures.
• RHEL certification preferred.
• Eagerness to learn about the ServiceNow Platform.
• Ability to support federal customers.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
