Overview

This is a remote work-from-home position that requires occasional attendance at the corporate office in Grandville, MI. The Sales Account Manager will develop and maintain strategic relationships with vendors/manufacturers and Meijer to maximize sales and margin opportunities.

In Short

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Meijer buyers and vendor partners.
  • Execute assigned sales plans and consistently meet or exceed targets.
  • Deliver clear, persuasive, and professional communications (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Anticipate customer needs and respond with timely, innovative solutions.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve execution challenges effectively.
  • Negotiate to secure favorable outcomes while maintaining positive long-term relationships.
  • Manage multiple accounts, vendors, and timelines simultaneously with precision.
  • Analyze category and sales data (Nielsen, IRI, Power BI, Dunnhumby) to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally (operations, supply chain, retail) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Support senior team members by preparing category reviews, presentations, and vendor reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) sales, account management, or retail vendor relations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proven ability to interpret and present data.
  • Skilled at creating and delivering persuasive presentations.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple accounts and deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and presentation development.
