Senior Data Engineer, Finance - Remote

SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join SeatGeek’s Finance Engineering team. FinEng is a dedicated team focused on getting our arms around the finance and accounting data that SeatGeek generates across the business. As a Data Engineer, you will own our Finance Data Warehouse and the tooling we use to get financial data from transactional systems into our finance automation stack, and ensure the results reach the hands of users, business applications, and other analytics tools.

In Short

• Build the tooling that gets financial data into our finance automation systems and Finance Data Warehouse.
• Own our Finance Data Warehouse.
• Collaborate with stakeholders like Finance, Accounting, Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product team.
• Create definitions and documentation of our data sources.
• Work closely with the Finance Engineering team.
• Ensure results get into the right hands at the right time.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Analytics or Data Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Python.
• Experience developing new metrics and performing analysis with large datasets.
• Experience building reports and dashboards using BI tools.
• Familiarity with data warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with DBT.
