Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer at Kustomer, you will leverage advanced data-engineering techniques to enhance data architecture and streamline data-ingestion processes, improving data-driven product offerings and providing valuable insights.

In Short

• Write and adapt tools to classify, ingest and reconcile data.
• Parse, analyze and understand data sets to identify valuable insights.
• Find anomalies in datasets and debug data-related issues.
• Provide proactive oversight of data pipelines and resolve inquiries.
• Conduct architecture and data reviews across the platform.
• Work with a modern data stack including S3, Iceberg, and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to visualize data effectively.
• Implement systems for data tracking and transport solutions.
• Participate in data initiatives focusing on scalability and reliability.
• Support the engineering team in data architecture best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
• Deep experience with programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Go.
• 8+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, and cloud environments.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
• Knowledge of data management and governance.
• Understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
• Experience with big data architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud or database technologies certification is a plus.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code is beneficial.
• Participation in Data on-call rotations is a plus.
