Renew Home is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join our growing legal team! We're looking for a dynamic and business-minded lawyer to provide sound, practical and actionable legal advice in support of our mission.

In Short

• Lead counsel in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Support strategic partnerships and transactions in consumer energy solutions.
• Identify legal and business risks in contracts and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide legal review and advice across all departments.
• Address broader strategic issues and matters of first impression.
• Act as a key member of the legal team reporting to the head of Legal.
• Collaborate with department leaders to achieve business objectives.
• Support compliance and energy regulatory matters.
• Remote position with a preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Some domestic travel required.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial law and contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the energy sector.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven track record in risk assessment and mitigation.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in a relevant jurisdiction.
