Overview

The Policy and Compliance Specialist serves as the centralized curator and coordinator of all organizational policies and procedures across all departments and functions—including Human Resources, Clinical Operations, Administrative Services, and programs governed by Arizona DHS and other regulatory bodies. This role ensures that all policies are current, systematically reviewed, and fully compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

In Short

  • Lead curator of all policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Maintain an indexed, up-to-date master library of policies.
  • Track and enforce review cycles for policies.
  • Draft new policies based on leadership directives and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain a calendar for required reports for licensing and accreditation.
  • Schedule and document compliance meetings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for policy inquiries.
  • Ensure all finalized documents are incorporated into the official policy library.
  • Work independently and cross-functionally across teams.
  • Proficient with cloud-based document systems and project tracking platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission and Arizona DHS regulations.
  • Strong technical writing and document control skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Experience in behavioral health or healthcare organizations preferred.
  • Understanding of HR policy development and labor law compliance.
  • Comfortable using AI tools for drafting and research.
  • Ability to hold leaders accountable for policy reviews.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
