Overview

The Business Development Manager - Utility & Commercial Energy Solutions will lead efforts to expand Clarke Energy’s presence in the demand response and distributed generation markets while fostering a safe and sustainable work environment.

In Short

  • Remote position with approximately 40% travel across North America.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for energy solutions.
  • Identify relationships with utilities and energy consumers.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of Clarke Energy’s solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to create tailored proposals.
  • Lead RFP responses and ensure technical alignment.
  • Monitor energy policies and regulations.
  • Represent Clarke Energy at industry events.
  • Provide market intelligence for product development.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in sales or business development in energy markets.
  • Proven track record in closing deals and achieving targets.
  • Experience with utilities and large energy users.
  • Knowledge of distributed generation technologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO/RTO markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
