Machine Learning Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

PermitFlow’s mission is to streamline and simplify construction permitting in the $1.6 trillion United States construction market. Our software reduces time to permit, supporting permitting end-to-end including permit research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.

In Short

• Work alongside the CTO and engineering team to develop a construction permit application and management platform.
• Build intelligent systems that enhance permit processing and compliance workflows.
• Design and implement LLM-powered models for document processing.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Experiment with pre-trained models for NLP tasks.
• Build scalable machine learning infrastructure.
• Monitor and improve performance of deployed models.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop AI-native solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering.
• Strong understanding of LLMs and their applications.
• Hands-on experience with retrieval systems.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries.
• Experience with ML model deployment in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
