Associate Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

The Associate Legal Counsel will play a key role on a small, collaborative legal team and work cross-functionally across the business, managing a wide range of responsibilities related to legal oversight and contract management.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Evaluating software tools and services with AI-related functionality.
• Providing legal oversight of vendor questionnaires.
• Responding to subpoenas and similar legal requests.
• Maintaining and updating internal policies.
• Managing consumer data requests.
• Supporting HR with legal needs.
• Assisting marketing projects with legal oversight.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; licensed in your state of residence.
• 2–3 years of legal experience, preferably in fintech/payments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage diverse workstreams.
• Interest in technology and product-focused legal work.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
