Middle/Senior Legal Counsel (Fintech, Licensing) - Remote

In Short

• Drive and manage financial licensing processes in the EU, especially in the Netherlands.
• Develop and implement corporate AML policies tailored for PayDo.
• Update compliance programs according to regulatory requirements.
• Handle regulatory reporting and audits.
• Maintain and manage governance policies and regulatory updates.
• Stay informed on financial regulations concerning EMIs and PIs.
• Open and manage operational bank accounts.
• Address complex legal requests from banks and authorities.
• Implement changes related to AML, KYC, and data protection laws.
• Draft various legal agreements and serve as a liaison with law firms and regulators.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or Advisor in regulated companies.
• Experience in obtaining an EMI license in the Netherlands is a plus.
• Understanding of international corporate law and EU licensing principles.
• Proven experience in enhancing compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Experience in communication with regulators.
• Experience in opening international bank accounts is advantageous.
• Experience in drafting legal agreements.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in Russian or Ukrainian preferred.
• Master's degree in law.
