Senior Splunk Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Splunk Engineer will work remotely as part of the Optiv Security’s 24x7x365 Security Operations Center, focusing on managing security systems and providing mentorship and technical leadership.

In Short

• Fully remote position within the continental U.S.
• Work in the Advanced Fusion Center (AFC) team.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining security systems.
• Mentor other technical staff members.
• Provide technical assistance in pre-sales activities.
• Oversee client projects and guide technical staff.
• Requires U.S. Citizenship.
• 6+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with Splunk and security concepts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related work experience.
• 4+ years of technical architecture experience with Splunk.
• Experience working with Cribl preferred.
• Understanding of networking and operating systems.
• Experience with programming/scripting languages like Python and Java.
• Familiarity with cloud-based service architecture.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements like PCI DSS and GDPR.
• Experience with security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.
• Strong written and presentational skills.
• Technical writing experience preferred.
