Senior Azure Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S. Optiv is seeking a Sr. Azure Engineer to join the organization as a core team member of the Advanced Fusion center focusing on engineering and implementing the data and analytics platform for Optiv customers.

In Short

• Focus on implementing Azure systems, configurations, automation, scripts, and integrations focused on security.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for clients regarding their Azure environment.
• Administer and optimize Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
• Manage privileged identities and implement JIT and JEA strategies.
• Support hardening initiatives across Azure services.
• Troubleshoot platform-level issues and support incident response activities.
• Collaborate with internal security teams and client stakeholders.
• Experience with Azure technology, especially data lakes and data warehouses.
• Conduct code reviews with scrum teams.
• Work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Requirements

• Must have admin skills for most Azure services.
• Understanding of AWS/Google cloud services.
• Experience with networking, storage, virtual machines, and automation.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience as a build and deployment engineer.
• Understanding of industry-standard system architecture.
• Experience in analytics methodologies in machine learning or AI is a plus.
• Azure certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of Linux or Windows systems administration.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools.
