Senior Azure Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Data Engineer is a new role within our Business Platforms Americas team, focused on delivering business analytics using cutting-edge BI tools and Azure technologies.

In Short

• Design and deploy scalable data solutions using Azure technologies.
• Create data pipelines, integrations, and transformations for efficient data processing.
• Conduct complex business transformations to create dimensional models.
• Perform data profiling, validation, and cleansing to maintain data integrity.
• Deliver Technical Design Documents outlining processes and data flows.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical tasks.
• Identify internal process improvements and automate manual processes.
• Utilize Power BI for data visualization and analytics.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and peer reviews.
• Work with Azure DevOps & Git for CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence roles.
• 5+ years in Business Intelligence Analyst or Developer roles.
• 4+ years using Azure Data Factory for data warehousing.
• 2+ years developing data models and dashboards using Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and relational database design.
• Excellent programming skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Python.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and performance tuning.
• Strong collaboration skills with developers and partners.
• Knowledge of data warehousing strategies (e.g., Kimball).
• Experience with performance analysis and tuning.
