Technical Packaging Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Technical Packaging Engineer will spearhead packaging innovation and sustainability efforts for supplements, hair care as well as the direct to consumer packaging experience, kits and brand merchandise. This pivotal role will lead the development of cutting-edge, eco-friendly packaging solutions that align with our mission to create high-performance, luxury products that are sustainable and health conscious in design.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy for packaging.
• Partner with leadership to set ambitious sustainability targets.
• Assess packaging performance through analysis and quality testing.
• Ensure packaging meets sustainability regulations.
• Identify packaging opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with various teams to align packaging designs with business objectives.
• Plan and execute a welcome unboxing experience for customers.
• Design new product development packaging and kits.
• Communicate sustainability efforts and benefits of the brand.
• Own technical packaging specifications and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in packaging engineering in the beauty/wellness industry.
• Strong understanding of sustainable packaging materials and technologies.
• Experience with LCA methodologies and analysis.
• Proficiency in packaging design software (CAD).
• Knowledge of EPR regulations related to packaging sustainability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be a team player with strong relationship-building skills.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be flexible and determined, able to handle multiple projects.
