Senior DevOps Engineer - Build and Release Automation - Remote

Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at NinjaOne, you will serve as a technical leader focused on build and release automation strategy, CI/CD platform engineering, and software supply-chain excellence. You will own the design, scalability, reliability, and security of our build and release ecosystem across our entire portfolio of Unified IT Operations SaaS products.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, versioning automation, and artifact signing across services and repositories.
• Define and roll out standardized build patterns, reusable pipeline templates, and “golden” configurations (CircleCI and related tooling).
• Manage and optimize build infrastructure to reduce lead time, flakiness, and cost.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to diagnose and resolve systemic build failures and dependency issues.
• Embed security and supply-chain controls into pipelines.
• Implement branching, versioning, and release strategies to improve predictability and rollback safety.
• Administer artifact management platforms.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for CI/CD standards and tooling.
• Mentor engineers and help teams adopt standardized workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, build/release engineering, or platform engineering.
• Proven experience designing, scaling, and operating complex CI/CD systems.
• Strong expertise in Git-based workflows and branching strategies.
• Hands-on experience administering artifact repositories.
• Deep understanding of build systems and dependency management.
• Experience designing secure software supply-chain processes.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Experience with containerized build environments and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming to build automation tooling.
• Experience implementing release governance and change management processes.
