Overview

The Tissue Donation Coordinator plays a crucial role in guiding donor families through the tissue donation process, impacting countless lives by facilitating tissue donations.

In Short

  • Handle incoming donor referral calls from hospital staff and clinical partners.
  • Work empathetically with potential donor families to advocate for donation.
  • Coordinate logistics of tissue recoveries with internal and external partners.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and communicate effectively.
  • Work three 12-hour shifts per week with one on-call shift every two weeks.
  • Select shifts in a collaborative self-scheduling model.
  • Work in a hybrid model of in-person and remote shifts.
  • Support a 24-hour, 365-day mission including weekends and holidays.
  • Be part of a team dedicated to saving and healing lives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and clinical databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible, proactive, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work both remotely and onsite in Waltham, MA.
