Overview

The Tissue Donation Coordinator plays a vital role in guiding donor families through the tissue donation process, impacting countless lives through organ and tissue donations.

In Short

  • Handle incoming donor referral calls from hospital staff and clinical partners.
  • Work empathetically with donor families to advocate for donation.
  • Coordinate logistics of tissue recoveries with various stakeholders.
  • Provide exemplary customer service while communicating with partners.
  • Work three 12-hour shifts per week with one on-call shift every two weeks.
  • Select shifts collaboratively in a hybrid staffing model.
  • Support a 24/7 mission including weekends and holidays.
  • Be part of a team dedicated to saving and healing lives.
  • Participate in corporate events and community volunteering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with one year of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and clinical databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Ability to work both remotely and onsite in Waltham, MA.
