Overview

The Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer will provide high-end technical support for clients, focusing on IT and networking solutions.

In Short

  • Remote position based in South Africa or the USA.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in IT & Networking.
  • Formal IT qualifications, ideally Microsoft certifications.
  • Experience in Server/Network Support and Cloud technologies.
  • Responsibilities include incident management and project implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills required.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Framework and ITSM Systems.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking protocols.
  • Experience with network security and malware prevention.
  • Mentoring junior consultants and hosting workshops.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year onsite experience at a client.
  • Strong attitude and aptitude for IT.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience with VLANs and firewall configuration.
  • Ability to design client documentation and policies.
  • Proactive and reactive technical support skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the team.
