Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will take a leading role in processing, orchestrating, and delivering customized data assets, ensuring the highest quality of data used in cancer genetics research and innovation.

In Short

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their data needs and requirements.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and design solutions aligning with customer specifications.
  • Utilize ETL and orchestration tools to process data from source systems.
  • Implement, test, and maintain data solutions for scalability and reliability.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and customers.
  • Offer innovative solutions for new customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with other data engineers to develop comprehensive data solutions.
  • Contribute to the design of reusable components and frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices.
  • Conduct performance tuning of data processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Microsoft SSIS, Qlik, Informatica).
  • Expertise in managing and transforming data across cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure).
  • Experience with AWS databases and Snowflake is a plus.
  • Familiarity with secure data transfer technologies (SFTP, FTP).
  • Ability to design and optimize data workflows across systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of cloud services integration with data engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
