Overview

NeoGenomics has an opening for a Billing Reimbursement Specialist II who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This position is a Monday – Friday business hours, Remote role to work day shift.

In Short

  • Focus efforts on increasing cash and reducing bad debt
  • Understand NeoGenomics products and present arguments for medical necessity
  • Manage appeals and denials based on payer guidelines
  • Read and understand EOBs
  • Evaluate and respond to billing inquiries
  • Review and work various reports including aging
  • Understand advice/remark codes from payers
  • Data entry and insurance eligibility verification
  • Investigate denied services and determine next actions
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma at minimum required
  • 2 years of experience in A/R, Billing, insurance or healthcare
  • Working knowledge of coding systems; CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Hands-on experience in medical billing and reimbursement
