We are looking for a Systems Engineer who can design, implement, and optimize backend systems that support Voya’s enterprise platforms, contributing to a better financial future for individuals and communities.

In Short

Design, implement, and optimize backend systems.
Work across engineering, product, and DevOps teams.
Maintain and optimize systems supporting Voya’s digital platforms.
Document systems and integrations for clarity and accessibility.
Implement distributed systems with scalability in mind.
Facilitate agile delivery and contribute to sprint planning.
Translate business needs into technical solutions.
Manage API lifecycle and secure integration patterns.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
Implement observability tools for performance monitoring.

Requirements

3–6 years of experience in systems engineering or backend development.
Proficiency in designing distributed systems and APIs.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or Node.js.
Familiarity with SRE practices and DevOps tooling.
Strong communication skills.
