Accounting Optimization Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Optimization Manager is responsible for overseeing the architecture, maintenance, and support of our financial systems. This role involves ensuring the robust performance and integrity of our financial systems, as well as managing and optimizing system infrastructure to align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will lead financial system projects from conception through execution, develop a strategic roadmap for system enhancements, and enforce policies to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

In Short

• Oversee financial system functionality related to the Accounting and Finance Teams
• Troubleshoot and assist team members in troubleshooting production issues
• Manage projects and the system development life cycle
• Support the development and maintenance of financial applications ecosystem
• Develop training programs for staff in accounting and systems procedures
• Collaborate with internal customers to define and build technical solutions
• Assist with development of departmental policies and systems guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in accounting
• 3+ years of experience in information systems a plus
• 1+ years of project management experience a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Skilled in Microsoft Office software
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management capabilities
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
• Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
• Self-driven with an adaptive leadership style
