Accounting Operations Manager - Remote

Overview

Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Accounting Operations Manager to work within our hybrid (partial remote) Finance Team at our Marlborough, MA or Hayward, CA location to perform accounting activities in a fast-paced team environment.

In Short

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS in financial statement preparation.
• Implement accounting workflows and process improvements.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data for reports.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants.
• Participate in audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting and financial planning across departments.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure timely processing of financial transactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Experience in Biotech or CRO is a plus.
