Corporate Controller - Remote

Overview

Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Corporate Controller to work within our hybrid (partial remote) Finance Team to perform accounting activities in a fast-paced team environment.

In Short

• Oversee and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Manage the preparation of regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
• Manage fixed asset and lease accounting processes.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Manage the annual audit process.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support to executive management.
• Implement and improve financial systems, policies, and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Quickbooks, Zoho, or Netsuite is a plus.
• Experience in Biotech or Contract Research Organization is a plus.
