Overview

The Case Manager is responsible for assessing the needs of each assigned child. The Case Manager completes extensive paperwork required by the contract, conducts screenings and assessments, and works with all external partners involved, including government agencies and consulate officials. The Case Manager will need to travel frequently by vehicle or airplane to visit clients' homes.

In Short

  • Conduct home visits and phone contacts to assess safety and appropriateness of child’s placement.
  • Perform ongoing case management focusing on screening and making appropriate referrals.
  • Provide crisis intervention services directly or connect families to services.
  • Submit detailed documentation in accordance with agency and ORR requirements.
  • Utilize social work best practices for thorough assessments.
  • Maintain case file documentation in accordance with ORR requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and staff training.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing knowledge of the Sanctuary model.
  • Complete timely and accurate timesheets and other records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience working with immigrant populations preferred.
  • Knowledge of family preservation and child welfare.
  • Ability to provide culturally-appropriate care.
  • Pass a criminal history background check.
  • Able to work shift hours as assigned.
  • Meet agency driving requirements.
  • 40 hours of required training per year.
