Senior Counsel, Regulatory & Compliance - Remote

Overview

As Senior Counsel, Regulatory & Compliance, you will be a senior member of the Legal team responsible for healthcare regulatory, privacy, AI, product, and compliance matters arising from Modern Health’s provision of mental health and well-being services through our digital platform.

In Short

• Lead and provide practical advice on healthcare regulatory issues.
• Counsel product, clinical, and operations teams on product design in a regulated environment.
• Manage U.S. and international regulatory reviews for new offerings.
• Serve as legal advisor on privacy and data governance.
• Draft and advise on legal frameworks for AI and ML.
• Help support regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Act as a thought partner to senior leaders on compliance strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve compliance objectives.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business.
• Contribute to internal compliance programs and audits.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of healthcare regulatory, privacy, and compliance experience.
• J.D. from a top-tier law school with admission to a U.S. state bar.
• Experience with U.S. healthcare regulatory matters.
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Experience advising on digital health products.
• Knowledge of AI/ML legal and policy issues.
• Experience building compliance programs in regulated industries.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Curious and collaborative mindset with integrity.
