Overview

The Technical Business Development Manager will be a key member of the Sales Department responsible for revenue development in the EMEA Region, through implementation of technical sales & marketing initiatives to drive awareness and customer engagement, and through distributor support.

In Short

  • Be an evangelist for Cygnus technology and drive revenue to achieve financial targets.
  • Attend scientific conferences and trade shows, interact with customers, and present technology talks.
  • Support international distributors in the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to internal teams.
  • Monitor competitor actions and market dynamics.
  • Communicate customer needs to all internal teams.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to track customer interactions and opportunities.
  • Perform other functions as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biosciences with at least 5 years of experience in the life sciences industry; MS or PhD preferred.
  • Strong background in customer-facing roles such as sales or business development.
  • Deep understanding of downstream bioprocessing and bioanalytical sciences.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth in the life sciences industry.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in account management and business negotiation.
