Senior CAD Designer - Remote

Overview

Mainspring Energy is seeking a talented Senior CAD Designer to join the Mechanical team responsible for the detailed design and drafting of the various components and assemblies for our innovative Linear Generator technology.

In Short

• Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models (Solidworks) and 2D engineering drawings.
• Apply GD&T and AWS Welding symbols adhering to ANSI standards.
• Review engineering drawings for best practices.
• Support BOM generation and management.
• Quickly iterate designs based on engineer feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers for quick vendor feedback.
• Support continuous improvement of CAD processes.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or engineering field.
• 5+ years as a professional CAD Designer/Drafter.
• Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawings (Solidworks preferred).
• Familiarity with GD&T and AWS standards.
• Experience with large mechanical/electromechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform tolerance analysis is a plus.
