Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, player-coach VP Engineering leader to lead Lumata’s engineering function into its next phase of engineering, intelligence, and delivery excellence.

In Short

Lead the engineering function across full-stack, UI, backend, platform, QA/SDET, and DevOps teams.
Promote engineering rigor through planning, Secure-SDLC, design reviews, code reviews, test automation, documentation practices, and CI/CD excellence.
Lead Lumata’s GenAI engineering effort—building internal tools and customer-facing GenAI products.
Implement platform strategy across Salesforce Health Cloud, AWS, and EHR integrations.
Design an engineering org that stays lean and high-impact by leveraging automation and GenAI agents.
Track and continuously improve engineering health using DORA and GenAI adoption metrics.
Lead a lean blended team of employees and contractors.
Foster a culture of excellence that combines pragmatic execution with long-term architectural thinking.
Ensure a HIPAA-compliant workspace for remote work.
Collaborate with Product and Data to drive GenAI experimentation and impact measurement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
15+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.
Proven experience in developing high performance engineering teams.
Strong full-stack system design and end-to-end development skills.
Hands-on coding experience in major programming languages (e.g., JS, Java, Python).
Experience building Cloud SaaS solutions with Salesforce and AWS services.
Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native architecture.
Strong communicator and collaborator across teams.
Metrics and data-driven decision-making skills.
Experience in healthtech environments is a plus.
