VP of Engineering - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a software engineering lead who is passionate about leading and building products. We have a nimble, fast-moving engineering team and want to add a senior leader to the team who can take it to the next level. We are highly customer-oriented and focused on strong design and engineering on the back end. This position will require you to architect and implement solutions and features to serve our customer base.

In Short

• Lead and manage the software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, and IT functions.
• Work closely with product management to define the roadmap and set priorities.
• Facilitate discussions and decision-making processes.
• Develop individual team members' skills and advance the technology roadmap.
• Act as a change champion for evolving engineering processes.
• Implement agile-oriented project management tools.
• Lead architecture and code reviews.
• Manage application support and respond to production issues.
• Ensure the delivery of well-integrated and technically sound code.
• Provide visibility into platform and product viability through metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s in Computer Science or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in highly trafficked websites or mobile apps.
• 5+ years of experience leading interdisciplinary development teams.
• Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge in API development and cloud-native SaaS applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, focusing on automation and secure code development.
• Understanding of secure Agile SDLC practices.
• Proficiency with AWS services for managing cloud-native applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience managing vendor relationships.
