As a Data Platform Engineer at LaunchDarkly, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that process trillions of events daily. You will work with cutting-edge technologies in the AWS ecosystem to deliver data products that power internal and external applications.

In Short

Build and expand data pipelines and products.
Collaborate with frontend engineers and product managers.
Monitor and improve database and pipeline performance.
Write unit, integration, and load tests.
Participate in code reviews.
Write and review technical proposals.

Requirements

5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
1+ year of experience in building data pipelines or data warehouses.
Experience with Kinesis, Airflow, Spark, Lambda, Flink, and Athena.
Familiarity with databases like Clickhouse, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Timestream, and Snowflake.
Understanding of data structures and distributed systems.
Commitment to collaborative work.
Ability to write maintainable code.
High standards for production systems.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog.
