Disability Management Advisor - Remote

Overview

The Disability Management Advisor is responsible for the administration and management of workers’ compensation claims and for the planning, coordination, and implementation of return to work (RTW) plans, accommodations, and other disability management strategies to reduce the impact of work-related injuries.

In Short

• Process, manage and monitor workers’ compensation claims.
• Communicate with WCB adjudicators and case managers.
• Assess and determine the validity of claims.
• Review compensation decisions and initiate appeals.
• Provide guidance and support to injured team members.
• Coordinate return to work/disability management process.
• Maintain accurate records of claims and cases.
• Educate managers on injury management policies.
• Offer training, support, and guidance to managers.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing workers’ compensation claims.
• Proficient in MS applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of provincial workers’ compensation systems.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Disability Management diploma or certificate.
