Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Senior LINUX Engineer to join our dynamic team! You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Linux-based systems and infrastructure.

• Design and architect scalable and high-availability Linux infrastructures.
• Develop high-level designs and detailed specifications for Linux-based solutions.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers and associated services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Monitor system performance and resource utilization.
• Implement security best practices for Linux systems.
• Provide expert-level support for Linux-related issues.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture.
• Stay current with latest trends and technologies in Linux systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration or engineering.
• Proven experience with various Linux distributions.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE or LPIC.
