Head of Compliance - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Head of Compliance for one of our clients.

In Short

• Strategic and operational leadership of the compliance area.
• Further development and monitoring of the compliance management system.
• Analysis of regulatory requirements and derivation of corresponding measures.
• Advising management and executives on all compliance-related topics.
• Conducting risk analyses, audits, and internal investigations.
• Development and implementation of policies, training, and awareness measures.
• Monitoring and managing reporting obligations and communication with regulatory authorities.
• Leadership and further development of the compliance team.
• Reporting to the board/executive management and regular reporting to supervisory bodies.

Requirements

• Completed studies in law, economics, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in compliance, law, or risk management - ideally in a leadership position.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, GwG, GDPR, SOX, depending on the industry).
• Experience in developing and implementing compliance structures.
• High analytical skills, sense of responsibility, and integrity.
• Assertiveness and communication skills as well as a confident appearance at management level.
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
