RCM Customer Service Manager - Remote

Overview

Jasper Health pairs people experiencing cancer with American Cancer Society-certified counselors for virtual, 1-on-1 support. This role is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership for the overall administrative operations, which includes staff and service administration.

In Short

• Verifying insurance for new and existing patients.
• Obtaining pre-authorization for services and procedures.
• Explaining financial responsibilities to patients.
• Educating patients about their insurance coverage.
• Informing clinical staff of denials.
• Answering questions about billing and insurance.
• Calculating cash estimates for upcoming visits.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Reviewing and correcting customer and insurance data.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of customer/member service experience in a health plan.
• Experience in provider relations and handling referrals.
• Experience with claims and billing processes.
• General administrative skills including Microsoft and Google Docs.
