Finance Associate - Remote

Overview

The Finance Associate supports the Finance team in a wide variety of areas, including accounts payable and receivable, budget management, and other finance administrative duties. To succeed in the role, they must work efficiently, demonstrate systems orientation, work well across teams, be resourceful, problem solve, demonstrate strong attention to detail and be organized.

In Short

• Manage accounts payable systems including Expensify and Bill.com.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and serve as contact for vendor inquiries.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks including remote check deposits.
• Assist in budget management and grant reporting.
• Support monthly close processes and maintain financial records.
• Train new staff on finance systems.
• Respond to finance-related inquiries via email.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations with the Development Associate.
• Manage time tracking systems in partnership with Team Legal.
• Assist with annual audit preparations.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in teams across the organization.
• Demonstrates resourcefulness and systems orientation.
