Overview

The Account Director - Business Development is primarily responsible to strategically identify, develop and manage new business and sales opportunities for IHG brands. This role will uncover new accounts that can drive additional revenue opportunities to IHG hotels globally.

In Short

  • Actively seek and develop new business opportunities to maximize market share and revenues.
  • Business Development to uncover new accounts in territory that drive additional valuable revenue opportunities.
  • Assess accounts and create account plans to execute strategies for revenue growth.
  • Network within accounts to find key decision makers and relationship opportunities.
  • Gather information on clients to generate incremental business.
  • Work with Hotels to ensure clear communication of expectations and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Marketing, Management, Business, Hospitality or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the US market with cultural management skills.
  • Sales management experience in organizing and executing large-scale plans.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of managed and franchised environments.
  • International experience or handling accounts with international scope is required.
