Overview

The Business Development Director to serve as a key leader in the critical growth engine for Inovalon by contributing to the securing of large, multi-year services contracts. This role serves as a market expert and business development catalyst through developing deep knowledge of the market and key developments in the healthcare sector. This position will focus on Data Licensing and Data Solutions for RWD/RWE in the Mid Market Pharma/Life Sciences space.

In Short

  • Lead and be responsible for prospecting and building a pipeline for new business development.
  • Coordinate with resources to achieve company targets for market penetration and revenue.
  • Support tracking and reporting of business development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of company products and services.
  • Represent Inovalon at industry conferences and meetings with potential clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify client needs and decision-making criteria.
  • Participate in strategic development initiatives to enhance products and services.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and HIPAA requirements.
  • Travel routinely to client sites and conferences nationwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the RWD/RWE space.
  • Aptitude for managing a complex, consultative sales process.
  • Track record of managing relationships with Director, VP, and C-Suite clients.
  • Deep experience in project management across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and a related Sales Methodology preferred.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially RWD/RWE.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Outgoing and professional demeanor with good business acumen.
  • Management consulting or consultative sales process experience preferred.
  • Must be available to travel routinely.
