Overview

The Business Development Manager applies healthcare industry knowledge, advanced sales acumen, and disciplined territory management to drive growth within an assigned geographic region or book of business.

In Short

  • Drive demand and increase awareness of Inovalon’s products.
  • Maintain disciplined and reliable execution of sales operations.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop net-new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure customers receive full value of Inovalon’s offerings.
  • Partner with Marketing to communicate customer insights.
  • Lead or support product presentations and solution positioning.
  • Conduct effective discovery and consultative conversations.
  • Travel to meet with prospective and existing clients.
  • Serve as an informal mentor or coach to new hires.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive sales or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing a territory or book of business.
  • Proven track record of consultative, solution-based selling.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently drive the full sales lifecycle.
  • Strong territory planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct strategic discussions with C-suite leaders.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
