Overview

We are seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of a customer-facing healthcare application that empowers health plans and providers to deliver better patient care and improved healthcare outcomes. This is a high-impact role requiring deep backend expertise, distributed systems design, and hands-on development skills within a cloud-native, microservices-based environment.

In Short

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and access patterns related to healthcare.
  • Research, evaluate and utilize new technologies/tools/frameworks centered around high-volume data processing in AWS.
  • Document and estimate technical scope and design as needed.
  • Design and implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem.
  • Drive a culture of collaborative reviews of designs, code and test plans.
  • Work with business stakeholders and architecture engineering leads to ensure quality solutions are implemented.
  • Utilize and advance continuous integration and deployment frameworks.
  • Provide strong technical leadership and nurture a team culture of high collaboration and trust.
  • Influence and coach junior engineers both within and outside of your team.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other policies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development & architecture.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with .NET Core/C#.
  • Experience with Angular or React.
  • Knowledge of Microservices, REST APIs, and Event-driven architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS (Preferred), GCP, Azure.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with Kubernetes or Docker and CI/CD tools.
  • Proficient in architecture patterns: layered, clean architecture, etc.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging & performance tuning skills.
