Audit Analyst - Healthcare - Remote

Overview

The Audit Analyst will work with the Compliance Director, in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer, with responsibilities in the Compliance Program and other legal activities. This will include, but not be limited to, research on applicable laws, rules and regulations, revising policies and procedures, conducting internal/external audits, assisting with training material and risk assessments as well as day-to-day business matters.

In Short

• Provide administrative and legal support to the Compliance Manager and the Chief Compliance Officer
• Research state and federal laws and regulations
• Maintain Compliance Policies and Procedures
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments and external audits
• Correct identified errors and communicate trends
• Maintain training materials and adherence
• Draft correspondence, letters and memoranda
• Maintain proficiency in HIPAA, HITECH and applicable state privacy requirements
• Develop and maintain working relationships with various departments
• Escalate compliance issues requiring management resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk for a healthcare company
• Multistate healthcare experience desirable
• Experience in researching and analyzing state and federal law and regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA, HITECH and state privacy requirements
