Overview

The Healthcare EDI Analyst will manage electronic data interchange (EDI) processes, ensuring accurate healthcare insurance coverage verification and maintenance, while streamlining data exchange between internal systems and external partners.

In Short

  • Manage EDI transactions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors for EDI resolution.
  • Ensure timely data exchange with trading partners.
  • Develop documentation for EDI processes.
  • Analyze EDI data for discrepancies.
  • Assist in insurance coverage verification technology.
  • Maintain accurate insurance information in systems.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle and Compliance teams.
  • Provide training on EDI processes.
  • Support audits related to insurance coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
  • 3+ years' experience in healthcare EDI operations.
  • 3+ years' experience with HIPAA data.
  • 2+ years' experience with clearinghouses and EDI.
  • 3+ years' experience with EDI formats and standards.
  • 2+ years' familiarity with healthcare billing practices.
