Granicus is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer (SRE 2) to join our dynamic IT team. As an SRE, you will work closely with our software engineers to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our services.

In Short

Provide on-call production support and address engineering tickets.
Continuously monitor the health and performance of services and infrastructure.
Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operations.
Assist in troubleshooting incidents and implementing long-term fixes.
Participate in system improvements for reliability and performance.
Collaborate with software engineers on application requirements and deployments.
Create and maintain documentation for processes and troubleshooting.
Assist in capacity planning for future infrastructure needs.
Implement security best practices to protect systems and data.
Work in a flexible schedule with rotational shifts.

Requirements

Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Eagerness to learn new technologies.
Minimum of four years experience in SRE, DevOps, or production support.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
