Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant role at GivePower involves overseeing core accounting functions, supporting international operations, and driving improvements in financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger activities and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Prepare and present management reports for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Manage inventory accounting and track manufacturing transactions.
• Support fixed asset tracking and year-end audit preparation.
• Work in a fully remote environment across time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred).
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and international accounting practices.
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments.
• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Xero.
• Familiarity with donor or grant reporting.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish, French, or Swahili is a plus.
