Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, overseeing accounting activities, managing tax filings, and coordinating audits.

• Lead and manage accounting operations including bookkeeping and payment runs.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage and coordinate tax compliance processes across 10 European countries.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors for accurate reporting.
• Coordinate and support statutory audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting processes.
• Advise management on accounting and tax implications.
• Mentor and guide junior accountants.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP, IFRS, and European tax regulations.
• Hands-on experience with multi-country tax compliance and audits.
• Proven ability to manage cross-border financial processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
