Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Ignitis, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with international accounting standards, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making in the green energy sector.

In Short

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements according to IFRS and Latvian standards
• Implement internal controls for financial accuracy
• Collaborate with external auditors
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Identify process improvements and cost reductions
• Ensure compliance with Latvian tax regulations
• Provide financial analysis for management decisions
• Manage relationships with banks and tax authorities
• Maintain accounting records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA)
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software
• Knowledge of IFRS and Latvian accounting standards
• Experience in financial reporting
• Familiarity with Latvian tax regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Fluency in Latvian and English
